The Vineyard Table

The Vineyard Table

Eat at our vineyard table and enjoy fresh Mediterranean food and eclectic wines in a relaxed atmosphere. Dishes include vibrant and colourful salads, skewers of marinated meats and fish, rustic pasta dishes, hearty stews and platters of cheeses, cured meats and local seafood.

Our rustic food is inspired by sun-drenched Southern Europe and the colourful street cafes of Morocco and Lebanon – all united by common threads of creativity and bold flavours. The food reflects the strong regional character we also search for in wine.
Grab a glass of crisp dry white and head to the courtyard to share platters of cured meats, cheeses and fresh local seafood, or hunker down next to the woodburner with a warming glass of red and a North African stew. All year round Scarlet Wines & The Vineyard Table is the perfect place to while away a few hours accompanied by a soundtrack of good music and the conversation of friends. We welcome dogs and even children.

Coffee is something we take very seriously at Scarlet and we are proud to work with Origin who supplied our coffee machine, who train our staff and supply the beans. Our coffee changes with the seasons, giving us four distinct flavours every year. It’s not cheap but it is very amazing.

An absolutely unique selling point for Scarlet is our wine list. Naturally enough, as a wine shop, we have a big selection of wines with around three hundred different bottles on the shelves at any time. You can drink any of these served to you at your table for an additional charge of only £5, meaning you can drink truly excellent wines at very affordable prices.

Scarlet Wines seats about 30 people indoors and about forty outdoors. It is not a huge space so it makes a great venue for a private party. We have held birthdays, anniversaries a wake or two and even just a lot of friends having a get together and we can tailor a menu and drinks list to suit most budgets. Please contact us if you would like more information.

Coffee made by coffee lovers

We love
Coffee

At Scarlet Wines the staff have a problem; it’s hard to go out for coffee. Because when we do we see people burning the beans, over-extracting the coffee, not cleaning the group head properly and making a “lattecino” every time. The problem is that once you know what it takes to make good coffee and what good coffee tastes like nothing else will do.  Without knowing it we’ve all turned into coffee geeks.  Which, for our customers, is a good thing. Because we pour our geek knowledge and attention to detail into the coffee that we make.

we-love-coffeeWe are also very proud to work with Origin who supplied our coffee machine, who train our staff and who supply our beans.  When we were looking for a coffee supplier everyone else talked money and technology, Tom at Origin just talked about coffee, how it’s grown, made and brewed.  We use Origin’s seasonal collection; the flagship of their range.  This is a coffee that changes with the seasons giving us four distinct flavours every year.  It’s not cheap but it is very amazing.

  • Only a coffee for us - but great indie wine shop and cool tunes. We stopped here on our road home from St Ives for a wake up coffee having already popped in on the way down - well stocked and displayed wines and deli - we had another strong Origin coffee and listened to some cool Brazilan music from oversized Kef speakers - nice!
  • Always excellent! This is a favourite spot and for very good reasons. Jon, Sarah and their staff are so warm and friendly and helpful, the food and drink are fabulous and the atmosphere is perfect. Whether it's breakfast (the grilled mushrooms are to die for), lunch or dinner, you can't go wrong with Scarlet. I held a private party there recently, and it was amazing. All my guests are still raving about the food. If you haven't been to Scarlet yet, what are you waiting for?!?!?!
  • FAB FOOD & WINE! We have never been disappointed with this gem of a place.Wonderful selection of wines and beers, and lovely imaginative food.Great in the summer also, to be able to eat Alfresco!!! We love it here.
  • Still great!!! I hadn't been to Scarlet's for a while for some reason but treated myself to lunch on Monday. Pleased to say that it's impeccable standards have been maintained! Friendly attentive service & delicious food. Notable that on a dull Monday lunchtime in February all the tables were occupied and everyone seemed to be enjoying their meals. A local gem.
  • Little Gem. Stopped here for lunch after a long walk from St Ives through Carbis Bay. Nice selection of deli type food and my roast beef sandwich was excellent - especially washed down with a bottle of the new St Ives beer!
  • Hidden Gem. Had two very good meals here in two weeks - going back to a place for more is surely a recommendation in itself. Slightly quirky place just outside St Ives but well worth a visit.
