Christmas at Scarlet Wines

Christmas is a great time to enjoy the Scarlet Wines trademark of good wine, good food and good company.

Throughout the festive period we’ll be providing all of the above, plus a menu laced with seasonal delights. Designed to satisfy the winter need for comfort food and heart-warming flavours without ruining your appetite for Turkey with all the trimmings, we’ve drawn on classic French cooking for inspiration while adding our own unique twist.

With two courses for just £19, and the full three for £24 per person, our Christmas menu is a great excuse to catch up with friends and family during the festive season. This menu runs from the 11th of December for lunch and dinner (regular lunchtime options will also be available.)

Larger parties can be catered for – please give us a call to discuss group bookings.

Scandinavian Feast Night

Scarlet Wines in Lelant has experienced a revamp this autumn, adding a fresh infusion of Scandi style to our wine shop, cafe and deli. To celebrate, the latest in a series of feast nights on Friday 28th November will have an appropriately Nordic theme.

Jon explained the thinking behind the new look: “Scarlet is five years old this year. We put a lot of love into the restoration of the building originally and we know our guests love the space – adding a Scandinavian twist seemed like the perfect way to enhance the current feel while keeping things fresh.” Using timber cladding and specially sourced textiles, Scarlet has been given an edgy new look akin to a Nordic ski lodge, complete with a roaring wood burner and hand-built bench seats; a little pocket of Northern European cool just off the A30.

To usher in the new look, Scarlet Wines is hosting a Scandinavian Feast Night – the latest in a series of themed evenings to take place this autumn and winter. Guests will be served lashing of home-cured gravalax followed by Swedish meatballs for £15 a head, and for an extra charge can choose wines to match (or throw caution to the wind with vodka tastings!)

Scarlet’s inventive offering encourages creative connections between food and drink from all around the world; the feast nights are the perfect opportunity to enjoy Scarlet’s signature brand of good wine, good food and good company.

Thursday Supper Club

Scarlet Wines is now offering an extra reason to visit on Thursday nights.

If a menu bursting with flavour, an inventive drinks offering, a roaring wood burner and a friendly welcome weren’t enough, your new incentive comes in the shape of a free bottle of wine when two people order two courses.

“Let’s face it, Thursday night is really the start of the weekend,” says owner Jon Keast. “It’s the perfect evening to indulge in a rewarding glass of wine and give cooking a miss.”

The chefs at Scarlet Wines incorporate seasonal produce into their diverse menu, which is currently seeing a resurgence of spring flavours, lighter dishes and imaginative vegetarian options.

Jon is Scarlet’s resident wine expert, whose passion is to unearth great value and unusual wines from around the world. “This special offer will include some of my favourite wine rack staples: great food wines which we usually sell for £8.95, and which represent great value at that price point.”

Please note you must book to take advantage of this offer.
